FINE DINING IN LEEDS |
|
|
In
a city that boasts award-winning chefs Marco Pierre
White and Simon Gueller as two of its most
famous exports, Leeds naturally has some internationally
acclaimed restaurants. Rumoured to be the most expensive
restaurant in Leeds, its price is matched only by it's
quality.
For the less traditional amongst you try the clean lines
and hot spices of Thai Edge [map]
off Millenium Square.
If you're in the city centre, The Lounge is an
art-deco inspired restaurant/bar located at The Radisson
SAS Hotel [map],
The Headrow, and a perfect oasis of calm away from the
busy shopping quarters.
For those really looking to splash out Leeds has more
than its fair share of famous names. Heathcotes at
Rascasse [map]
is one of Leeds most famous restaurants. It offers classic
British cuisine with a modern twist, together with the
views of the Leeds-Liverpool ship canal.
Guellers restaurant is located in the heart of
the business district and has a fabulous French a-la-carte
menu for those than can afford a touch of luxury.
Leodis [map]
is located next in the lawyers quarters and gives a glimpse
into the busy city and the people who run it.
One of the most stunning views is to be had from the riverside
position of Pool Court [map]
at 42 on The Calls. This has an exclusive reputation
in Leeds and is very expensive, but worth it for the wide
choice of high quality cuisine and the extensive wine
list.
